August was a record-setting month for Michigan’s cannabis industry!

Michigan’s licensed retailers reached $295.4 million in sales during the month of August, a new monthly record for the state. The previous record was set in March 2024, with total sales $6.6 million less than August. Notably, March and August each featured five Fridays and five Saturdays—traditionally the two best-performing sales days of the week for cannabis dispensaries.

Michigan also broke a monthly sales record for most adult-use flower sold at 100,894 pounds in August.
