This includes addressing product shortages as the MMFLA is fully implemented and also working with state regulators to avoid similar situations when adult use cannabis businesses become licensed.
Key point 03--
Develop Fair and Equitable Rules and Regulations for Adult Use Marijuana Businesses
The passage of Proposal 1 in 2018 to legalize cannabis for all Michigan adults 21 and older will require the state to promulgate rules for the licensing and regulation of these new businesses. The MICIA will work with state policymakers to ensure the application process is fair to all applicants and that the regulations protect both businesses and the public.
