Legal cannabis sales contributed $266.2 million in tax revenue in Michigan during fiscal year 22-23, which ended in October. Tax from adult-use sales were up 49.1% compared to the fiscal year before, and the tax revenue for cannabis grew faster than any other itemized revenue in the House Fiscal Agency report. The state’s cannabis tax also brought in more than alcohol tax.
